September 10, 2019 is World Suicide Prevention Day

 

September 10 has been observed as World Suicide Prevention Day annually since 2003. September 8-14, 2019 is the 46th Annual Suicide Prevention Week during Suicide Prevention Month. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) created the program in 2001 to address all people at risk of suicide via certified crisis centers across the country.
